STYLES WE INSTALL

We professionally install many styles and below are some of the rangehood styles that we can consult on and install.

null

Canopy

Canopy rangehoods come in all different shapes and sizes but essentially a canopy sits on the wall by itself and vents to the rear or up through the roof.
null

Island Canopy

An Island canopy hangs from the ceiling and is mainly used over island benches. It is important to get advice in the planning stage as things like maximum unit height installation and placement of obstructions in your ceiling can become an issue. As these units have 4 sides open they can be less efficient than a wall canopy.
null

Undermount

Undermounts are built into the cabinet. Any inbuilt unit needs to have a cabinet built specifically for that unit. When designing cabinets for an undermount it is important to have the unit a good distance off the wall otherwise the rangehood will not extract from the front burners of your cooktop.
null

Downdraft

Downdraft units mount into the bench and pop up at the press of a button. These are great as they are hidden and cause less obstruction than an island canopy but they are limited in their extraction capacity. It is important to get advice in the planning stages as allowances need to be made for access to the unit and control box and also for ducting to be run through cabinets. As these units are trying to move air sideways they can be less efficient than a canopy rangehood.
null

Cassettes

Ceiling cassettes can remove the need for having a bulky rangehood hanging in the way but you do need to be aware that there are maximum distances that these units will work at. Often a bulkhead will need to be constructed to lower the height of the rangehood so it can work efficiently. It is important to get advice in the planning stage as maximum unit height installation and placement of obstructions in your ceiling can become an issue.
null

BBQ Hood

As BBQ’s produce more heat a hood with a higher extraction rate is needed to remove all of the grease and smoke. There are different regulations with BBQ alfresco and it is important to seek the advice of a professional rangehood installer to ensure that the unit you purchase not only works correctly but meets all local and state regulations.
null

External Motor Rangehood for Wall

Having the motor installed outside on the wall from the rangehood removes a good portion of the noise reducing the noise inside your kitchen. These units can offer superior extraction making the environment more comfortable inside your kitchen while cooking. It is important you get a qualified rangehood installer for installation of these units to avoid incorrect installation and voiding your warranty.
null

External Motor Rangehood for Roof

Having the motor installed on the roof away from the rangehood removes a good portion of the noise reducing the noise inside your kitchen. These units can offer superior extraction making the environment more comfortable inside your kitchen while cooking. It is important you get a qualified rangehood installer for installation of these units to avoid incorrect installation and voiding your warranty.
